Gigs for Kids

Every week, Students spend time with an instructor learning their instrument and the songs to be performed with the band. The three-hour session takes place in two different studios plus an area used for some down time. In studio 1, the students will rotate in and out of a band setting, performing songs. In studio 2, instructors will work with each student on their instrument or vocal coaching. This method allows a better learning experience for the student in a very focused environment. Practicing happens during the weekly sessions. Students, beginners or accomplished musicians, may add separate private lessons at a special Gig Center discount. Our Gig center performance program allows a more flexible customized experienced. Degreed and professional musicians teach all our sessions.

Each Gig Center Performance Program is from 12-15 weeks long with a session ending performance at local venue. Each Gig will be based on a style of music and them of music. The songs to be performed will be modified for the levels of the students and for their educational value to the group. In the past, themes have include; The Age of Woodstock, Country and Rock and Roll, Jazz Today and Yesterday.

Our Gigs are open to voice, guitar, bass (electric and stand up), keyboards, brass, drums and woodwinds. Special Gigs are also from time to time organized for Jazz and Country styles.
